hello,
I met an FCMA the other day and when discussing with a friend she said 'oh
thats a one year course' - i.e. he mightn't be very good.
i didnt believe her but it had me thinking.. is FCMA any worse than a ACCA
or any other accountant for that matter..
are some better than others or are they just different?
i am not a troll :-)
thank you
dave

Just as any mechanic can call himself an engineer, so anyone can call
themself an accountant.
There are several grades of accountant, and it's a chartered one you
want if you want the best.

Having the word 'chartered' doesnt help the OP. There are Chartered
Management Accountants, Chartered Certified Accountants and Chartered
Accountants and probably more.
FCMA = a fellow of the chartered institute of management accountants.
I dont know much about them but getting the 'F' at the front seems a
bit more than a 1 year course.
