I seem to recall that when I opened my A&L Direct ISA Issue 2, they were
offering a bonus of 0.7% on top of their standard ISA rate (then 4.45%)
guaranteed until 31/03/2007. Now I find no mention of the bonus at all on
this ISA, and the standard rate seems to be 4.5%. Am I mistaken?

The letter I have from A&L clearly mentions this on the first page (I
opened mine on 7th April '06), so I will get the "bonus" until 30/4/2007

No. The bonus was withdrawn (for new accounts) a couple of weeks ago.
If it was still offered when you applied it will have to be honoured for
you until the guarantee period expires.
