Pre-pament Credit Cards... [message #386435] Mo, 08 Mai 2006 09:52

I'm thinking of getting a pre-payment Credit Card as my credit sucks big
time...

I've been looking at using mycashplus.co.uk using MasterCard.

There is an issue fee of £9.95 and monthly fee of £4.95 a month.

What are your thoughts about this?

So you give them an interest-free loan and they charge you for the pleasure?
Have you been refused debit cards as well?

I've just gone for one even though I have a debit card.
There are still some people that just don't like debit cards - certain
car hire companies for instance, especially abroad.

Amex Travellers Cheque card may work out cheaper. The issue fee is £20, and
there is a reissue fee of £5 when the card expires. However, Amex isn't
accepted in as many places as Mastercard.

Dont use it for cash withdrawals, just purchases.
