due to the erratic spending of my ex-wife-to-be - I asked for our joint
account to be frozen yesterday. That seemed to be no problem but when
I checked the account this morning there were more debit card payments.
I phoned IF and they said the account has been flagged as "requested to
be frozen" - but wouldn't come into effect till June 6th.
This doesn't seem right to me and will allow payments out of the
account for the next week or so.
Has anyone had experince of this? or should I contact them again?
thanks

Contact them again and suggest that as you cannot be sure about the
ongoing debits, you have reason to believe the card is being used by a
thief and get the card suspended immediately.
