Hi, I applied for a loan recently from a High St bank who I don't have
an account with..., no probs!

Went to new bank to sign forms and had to set up account facility.
While I was going thru the app the loans clerk also informed me that I
had been approved for the banks credit card (the way she did this made
me imagine that a pop up had appeared on her screen - as it was sudden
and out of sync with the way the chat was going). Anyway I was a bit
staggered by this as the card was being offered with a limit that was
the same as the loan value. When I declined the offer, she said the
problem now was that she would have to start the application all over
again.

Isn't this a bit strange?
