I wish that were the case. I'm sure anyone could make out they have a
particular condition if they read up on it enough. At the end of the
day though, there's no real way I can prove that I have it (although I
have got a test sheet showing an abnormality in my mitochondrial
function!) but not everyone in this world is a con.

Yes, that is unfortunately the case.. when you have a condition like
this, though, you either sit down and accept the doctor's advice that
theres nothing you can do about it, or you try things yourself.. some
sufferers do get benefits from different things and it's always
possible someone might stumble across a "cure", so you have to keep
trying.
