Kellington's Theory of Finance

I think this is as good a newsgroup as any to ask. Does anyone have an
opinion on Kellington's Theory of Finance? It seems to be a standard
text, recommended preparation for the FM Exam, but it got mixed reviews on
Amazon. Some people really seemed to hate it.
