HOW DO i IVEST IN rOGERS iNDEX FUND. DEALS MAINLY WITH COMMODITIES.
its listed as RICI. do I need a broker? as you can tell I am green.

I strongly suggest that you learn more about investing before looking at
commodities, and even more so before looking into Rogers International
Raw Materials Fund. This is the limited partnership (LP), not a typical
mutual fund (investment company) that tracks Rogers International
Commodities Index (RICI) - which is an index, not a fund; one cannot
invest directly in an index.

According to this article, it charges a 5% load for "small"
investments. The article also seems to imply a $10K minimum investment.

This is not an investment for most people, let alone ones with little
investment experience. I cannot emphasize that strongly enough. For
all but the most sophisticated investors, if people insist on investing
in a commodities "fund", PIMCO Commodity Real Return is much more
practical:


Consider carefully whether you know enough about limited partnerships
(and how much they complicate tax returns), what the risks and
volatility of commodities markets are, how commodities contribute to an
overall portfolio, how chasing "hot" performance is a losing strategy,
etc., before even looking at this seriously.

that these are merely suggestions that you learn what you are doing
first, and they do not constitute specific investment advice.
