Ed, thanks for pointing these out.
Just to start things rolling, I went ahead and bought OAKBX and OAKGX
from oakmark directly. I plan to purchase DODFX this week too.
I have decided not to purchase FAIRX as the risk seems too high as they
invest in very few equities.
TREMX is the standout - increased by 33% my presence in it yesterday.
But they're in Russia, amidst other sectors. Another potentially
intriguing newcomer is GAGEX - looks lean, mean, and fast - though
another energy sector performer. DODFX had an outstand last quarter
but has subsequently slowed on the EURO scence. The domestic midcap
situation is one of "treading water", as can be the situation with
value, growth, and largecaps. There is not a lot to show for this
year, which is a reflection of such as OAKBX's .06% return. In the
past few weeks, I've repositioned and sold much of my domestic
balances. Except for exceptions, of course, hand grenades and
horseshoes - ANDEX. I'm not sure if TAVFX is closed, but it's sweet.
