In speech to Senate, majority leader Sen. Frist laid out the facts very well,I
thought,altho I am a Democrat. He explained that the excess embryo cells will
be frozen & available to couples wanting to adopt them. The remaining frozen
ones will eventually be thrown out as they become weaker with time...THESE are
the ones the scientific research group are asking to use. They have the
wonderous ability to become the type of tissue where they are imbedded...they
than multiply & replace the diseased tissue of the patient. The possible list
of diseases they can help is long & more is being discovered as the research
goes on. The biggest problem that is faced in this country is Bush thinks it is
immoral & threatens to veto funding for this as he feels he is such a good
Christian?? A Christian with very bloody hands with the thousands of lives
he is responsible for...Not just our brave soldiers but countless thousands of
Iraqi,many of which are civilian women & children. We now are lagging behind
many foreign nations in stem cell research. Will await messages from those that
agree with this & flak from others.
