Timing To Sell Home

I am considering selling my house and people say that the best time to
sell is before the schools open. I am in the middle of getting the
initial phases of getting a venture off the ground, and I think the
soonest date that is feasible for me is around beginning of October. I
am wondering if that is not quite the best time, should I hold on for a
few more months and aim for next year, i.e. around April?

I would appreciate any second opinions.

most people with families tend to buy and sell in the spring/summer
time BEFORE school begins in the fall. This gives them time to sell
their homes, and settle into their new neighborhood before school
begins.
