Hi,

I know people in this group has idea or opinion on the theme for next 12
months. What investment class/category do you think will outperform in the
next 12 months (Example: Japan, China, Small Growth, East Europe Emerging
Market, Gold, REIT, Oil, so on)?

My pure guess would be Russia.

If I had any confidence in which would do best, I wouldn't tell anyone.

If people were all talking about one of the above categories doing best, I'd
ignore them. Market principles and the sharing of information will defeat
you.

Japan - you know, I dunno - got burned there last time I tried to ride
on the crack of that whip. China, no doubt hot, though fired BRICs do
often contain amalgametes within intended useage. Despite some
reasonable returns, last small growth survey I heard didn't have strip
merchants dancing in the streets. Still, I'm considering added
exposure. Hopefully, Eastern Block will continue in unabated
signifance; if not, I'm haven't divested the remant Western tokens.
Gold/Energy/Real Estate - yes, I agree, moreover the in latter
instances, they're indeed so on [wink, wink]. So, how much you figure
to be in for on what and how long, too?

I'm a bit sceptical on the rebound of the Japanese stockmarket, the
Japanese economy is still bloated with bad debt sloshing around in the
banking system and alot of cleaning and reforms still left to be done.
I presume Russia will perform pretty well ahead due to rising oil
prices, I did invest in a Russian fund in early June and are up 20% so
far on that investment, with more to come later this fall.
