(OT?) Kurricane Katrina's Winds Hit 175 MPH

Are 175 mph winds sufficient to damage the offshore oil rigs off the
Louisiana coast?

That could send crude oil prices even higher.

Of course weather does affect an immediate future market price
fluxuation. Although 'even higher' prices is an inaccurate assessment
reserves and supply capital form within a production framework of
demand.
