....my LDF is up 2.06%. This is the only Latin fund that I own. Here are the
year to date results for the funds I track in that category:

BZF +40.62%
CH +22.94%
EWZ +46.31%
EWW +26.07%
LAQ +38.24%
LDF +43.90%
MXE +16.07%
MXF +27.13%
ILF +45.00%

I think these markets are getting a little rich but they have been doing
just great. I sliced an onion today, it had a tag on it that said "product
of peru". I had an apple that said "product of chile". Aren't American
farmers growing anything anymore or are they selling their land into the
housing thing? I live in apple country so I was surprised to see the Chile
label.

Almost all the emerging markets are soaring and have been, as
prosperity trickles down faster and faster. India looks to continue
rocketing. Not sure what about the rest of Asia, with the S. Korean
miracle a slave to N. Korean news, and Japan emerging from a coma but
still an old cripple? Any opinions on Asian places to invest?

East Europe continues to soar, with a few occasional sick stories.
Poland dragged my returns for a while, and who knows about Russia, but
in total they seem snowballing. Austria (EWO, gateway to the east)
continues to shoot up in it's own currency but unlike most mentioned
earlier had a negative currency move.

Latin America has joined by Canada with almost equal high returns -
maybe there should be an Americas ex-US fund like the Asian ex-Japan
funds to target the commodity trend.

This time of year the north hemisphere apple crop is just emerging,
making the 6 month old southern crops (waxed up in cold storage) about
to go worthless, I believe. So whatever leftovers Chile has needs to
be dumped on the market fast and cheap before fresh new apples come
into the market in quantity.

Yeah, will continue to see Chile and New Zealand (fuji) apples etc on
the market because their economic policies are very wise and free
market, at least in the Ag area. And Chile stock markets almost seem
beyond emergent to a less growthy but steady developed mkt.

US has goofy Ag policies warping the availability of pickers, land,
irrigation (sometimes making it irrationally cheap), and other
subsidies or restrictions. Needs to be deregulated in order to be more
rational but won't likely happen due to special interest groups (also
the influential urban intelligensia has a warped view of it all due to
unfamilarity with the giant empty expanses of rural US - they think
everything is crowded and polluted and under contention like their/your
home).

S. Korea has dismissed anything that N. Korea says or does. Don't be fooled
into thinking otherwise. To SK, NK is not an issue.

In Asia I still like India and I also like Hong Kong.

There is such an index, MSCI has it. No fund that I know of.

I believe PRASX's style is presently evolved to hedge a certain
circumlocution involved with China through the Indies. A potential edge
apart from the mainland, even if TRowe Price isn't a name I'm prone too
brusquely to disassociate from lucrative ventures.

Indies - strike that. India.
