Ed is a farmer.
Early to bed, early to rise.

In the wee hours of the morning, before the sun rises, while
a house is very still and quiet ... you will see post here from Ed,
before he has to get going and milk his animals.

neutron, you can get to usenet from milwaukee. actually usenet predates
the internet-------
(1979)
and before that was arpanet----
(1969)

anyway, here you are, enjoy.

Well, I don't know what those damned chickens ate but whew. Had to open the
hen house windows. Pickled eggs and Schlitz did that to me once.

Great to hear from you. How are those CEF's treating you?

hello, ed. great to hear from you. you probably remembered, because i
crowed a lot about it that i did very well in 2003 early 2004 with
those closed ends. due to my health problems in early 2004- a heart
atack and then a german shepherd atttacked me in september tearing my
rotaator cuff and other major damaage to my arm pneumonia, serious case
this past march so i didn't keep track of much. i sure would have
grabbed that CEE when it was around 24 as i did well with it in 2003. i
have bought and sold a few losing about 10% in the process. currenly i
have the japan index, EWJ, BTO the financial, KF the korean (just
recently- buying near the top? and sold GCS the commodity one to buy
KF. i also sold my profits (keeping the principle) in three energy
funds mising the downturn for the most part.

hope this finds you well, wishing you the best of God's blessings,
neutron

There is a fairly new fund I've been watching, Dreman Claymore Dividend &
Income Fund (DCS). I like Dreman's contrarian value approach and the fund is
yielding just over 7%, it pays quarterly divs of $0.325.

Here's a link to the Claymore products:

WIW also looks interesting, it's a TIP's fund with a little emerging market
debt thrown if for spice.
