This is different. I think there are very few military that want to be
involved in the killing. It's a sad fact of life that people treat each
other as targets in war. It always seems fine to the enemy when they commit
atrocities but we are the evil ones if we return the favor. Bullshit!

I wish there were no such thing as war and everyone just got along. I also
wish that nobody ever wanted for anything and that it was always spring
time. Not going to gappen.

"hiss and poop while they are burning", "I love the smell of napalm
burning in the morning" there is no longer a line between the so
called insurgents- everyone over there is now the enemy, the people we
were going to help in "operation Iraqi Fredom".
no, old biddy, this is operation "Get the Oil Supply assured" it never
had anything to do with freedom. may i remind you who started this
"liberation" because "he tried to kill my dad" and going into this
liberation with no plan whatsoever after our generals got to play with
their "shock and awe" toys.. are we held to a higher standard? right or
wrong, yes we are. there is no concern about rebuilding what we
destroyed . my heart goes out to our soldiers who have sacrificed so
much for people in their $1200 Armani suits and $20 cigars. "they
fornicate with goats" de-humanizing the enemy is an effective way to
prepare for more killing. it worked great with hitler when he said the
same thing about the Jews (this was one of goebbels favorite jokes only
he was serious).(WAR? this whole thing was about getting rid of a
dictator and liberating the people. now these same people want to be
liberated from us, i said, "hatred begets hatred" don't think you can
disagree with that.

hope you had a great summer and as usual it was fun jousting with you.

Tell it to the Towel-heads.... I can not think of any time when we went to
war because we felt we were not being threatened. Yes, there were times we
went to war that stupid and ill conceived (Korea; the communists were going
to take over the world..... Viet Nam, ditto... etc.). But those have to be
taken in the mental climate of the time: cold war, communist aggression.....
and at the time, communism was getting close to home: Cuba..... it's easy to
look back and say they were wrong, and in some cases, we definitely stayed
too long: Viet Nam.... when the president knew it was a losing cause.....

As far as Iraq: If there were not so many Americans over-living (McMansions
that need to be heated and materials delivered to the job site, SUVs that
guzzle gas, way too much materialism that requires fuel to be delivered to
Wal-Mart), we would not be so dependent on foreign oil... and Iraq would not
have been such a big deal (Iraq was a threat to Saudi Arabia, our good
buddies with all the oil we depend on).

So, if you are so concerned, start walking to church...... and pray for
peace on earth..... Keep in mind, more people have been killed in the name
of god, Yahweh, Allah, or whatever name you use, than for all other causes
combined.

The real problem is that an alternative, cost effective source of energy
needs to be found and used.

hello, happy guy. a few years back -i believe it was is california- a
man went on a killing spree-two people dead. asked why he stated he
wanted to kill some muslims. asked by the detective why he killed the
man he described as a "towel head" he replied "i told you, i wanted to
kill muslims" the fact was he killed a Sikh not a muslim. i am sure you
don't know the difference.

ww2 was not a religious war- hitler wanted to kill off an "inferior
race" (any similarities here?) to gain liebestraum or living space. the
korean war had nothing to do with religion nor did the vietnamese war.
the great war (meaning ww1 so i can be sure to be clear with you) was
caused by treaties which is too involved of a suject for now. you can
read aboout it in a library- that's a place where you can borrow books)
..the "liberation" in iraq has created an even more disdain or outright
hatred for westen culture and since the formation of isreal which was
taken from the country once called palestine many muslims began to
hate israel. it would surprise you to hnow that many christians, jews
and muslims lived together in peace for a long time although the
majority, which is muslim, does discriminate against the other two
groups as far as taxation, marriage, ect the point being that they did
live together in peace

i agree with other parts of your letter i.e. the consumerism, why we
don't take steps to become more energy efffcient our partnership with
the house of saud aomng other points. yes, i will pray for peace on
earth and the day that you and i will agree and become friends,

one more comment on war and religion. rulers, people in power have used
or perverted religion for their own means. if there was no religion it
would then follow -according to your statement- that there would be few
if any wars. can you believe that?

btw. i am an african american- i can smell your type a mile away.are
you sure you are happy? neutron
