I live in Northern Virginia where real estate prices have doubled in the
past five years.
I feel like a fool for renting during those years.
Is it a good time to buy a condo now?
There are a lot of new condos under construction
around here, also I believe prices may have peaked earlier this year and
may fall.

So, you feel like a fool for getting a great deal on rent while
everyone else is mortgaged up head over heels with a 1st and
2nd and 8 consecutive interest rate increases from the fed?
Get real--renting is a fantastic deal right now given that
so many landlords are losing money on the deal every month.

So, prices have peaked, which means that you get ripped off
when you buy, and they might be headed down, which means that
you will lose your a** on the deal. How can that be a good
time to buy?
If you wanted to buy, 5 years ago would have been a good time,
and maybe 5 years from now. But today, this is high period
when you should be selling, not buying.
