Section 8 Question

Hi All,

I own a 2-flat building in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago, IL. I'm
trying to see if it is mandatory for me to accept section 8 requests.
I cannot find this documentation anyplace.

I found something for NY whch says anything under a 3-unit building is
not required to apply for Section 8, so I am wondering about
Illinois.........

Any help?

Hello;

Participating in section 8 program is a voluntary item in Illinois, but
be careful of telling one applicant that you don't take section 8 and
tell another one do.

Thank you. I simply tell them I am not approved for Section 8........I
do not need them in my building.
