calif. lot line adjustment

Hi:
What is the law on lot line adjustments and conformity to the general
plan for lots involving less than four parcels/lots?
I have 2 40 acre parcels adjacent to one another. On the left hand
parcel are two poorly located lots, each under an acre in size,
recorded back in the 1880s. They each have an entitlement of one
building site. If possible it would make more sense to move them to
the right hand parcel. However, I read something saying that they
would have to be in conformity with the general plan, which has
underlying zoning of 1 unit per 160 acres. Can I move them from the
left hand parcel to the right hand parecl?
Thanks,
D.

The general plan is specific to your local government and not the state. It
is either the city or county. Usually, you can do lot adjustments easily.
