need help for my survey

am 11.01.2006 02:48:43 von simulat

Hello...

My name is Daniel, advertiser, writing from Berkeley, CA.

The reason of this message is that I'm trying to find out the major
websites used day by day by real state professionals, so that I can
follow up those addresses in a content survey.
I would appreciate if some of you guys could come up with some URLs in
my mailbox!

Thanks a lot for the information and for your time,

Daniel

What you are proposing is "harvesting" E-mail addresses for
the purpose of SPAM'ing them. That likely a violation of
your contract with your Internet Service Provider. It is
also highly unethical and down right scummy to do. So, if
you have any kind of positive reputation, don't blow it by
reducing your self to being a f*cking SPAMMER.

Hey John,

Sorry if I was confused to a spammer but that's not my intention at
all. Specially because I could get any e-mail address just by joining
the group. The purpose of my posting is what I said there: I'm trying
to understand the real state universe, and now I'm looking for
reference websites so that I can figure out the language style used,
design and other communication purposes.

Don't make such a judgment without asking before.

For you CalNeva that gave me some hints, thanks alot

D.

So, how what am I supposed to think since we heard your supposed
real reason, and that reason is either dump or made up. If you
want to hear how realtor talk, you don't do that by hanging
out in chat rooms. Go find some real realtors, and talk with
them in person. Many cities in the US have actual human realtors
and real estate agents, so go find a few.

Saying it doesn't make it true. You need to build up credibility
by regular participation over a span of time. According to your
posting history, Daniel, you've posted 3 similar requests
recently and very few posts ever before that. It doesn't
engender confidence.

Untrue. For every poster there are many readers.

Web sites won't do you much good for that. The writing style
used by folks on-line isn't all that much like spoken and very
much different from the formal language of written offers. What
you'll find is web fora folks use the same conversational
wording folks on the newsgroups do.

So what have you discovered here? Saying you're doing surveys
is something the bad guys say when they are harvesting
addresses for spam. Whether you're sincere in your wishes or
not matters little until you have built significant history and
trust among the regulars. Note - I am far too new on RE
newsgroups to be a regular but I've been on UseNet since the
1980s. This is a principle that applis across all of UseNet not
just on REI groups.

So start asking questions on the group. That works well.
