I haven't heard that the government was going to ban the sale
of houses, so I don't know why it would be too late to become
a Real Estate agent. I assume that folks will be buying and
selling houses long after I am gone from this planet.
Is the market saturated? Saturated with what? Corn surgar?
Not that I know of. Pine air fresheners? Maybe. The only
thing that we know for sure other than death and taxes is that
every house is eventually going to need to be sold. We also
see that Americans are moving more and more often, and there
are more and more Americans all the time. To me, that sounds
like it is wide open.
How do you get in the business? Real estate companies offer
"career nights" all the time, usually Tuesday, Wednesday, or
Thursday nights. Find one and go learn what you can. In some
places, this is your only option in that you have to be sponsored
into the business.
You may want to do some reading on the real estate business
before you jump in. There are many real estate agents that
only work part time on the weekend, and those who haven't
sold a house in years. You also have to decide if you want
to be a Realtor (as opposed to a real estate agent), and if
you want to go for a broker's license.

We sell real estate all the time. So, it is always a good time to enter the
field. While many people have entered the field, many of them do not
practice at all or they practice for less than one year.
Regarding the licens, it depends on the state you are in. If you mention
the state, I may be able to guide you.
