Howdy Neutron,
I hope you weren't referring to me over at FA. I've reread my postie
to lead and I don't see anywhere that I've put down FA or Roy. Geez, I
think it's a good forum, but Roy does run a tight ship as advertised.
I did have some negative comments about the b&h vanguard diehard types,
but so it goes. As I mentioned, I keep posting there to show that
there is another way. Albeit, at times I've strayed over the line and
had posties deleted too - either too stockish or too political.
Anyway, I'll repeat that I sincerely hope you weren't referring to me
because I don't recall anywhere knocking FA or Roy.
best,
rono

Specifically, I wrote:
"Yeah, it can get strained at times with the vg diehard true-believing
cretins. However, there's too many folks that have guessed there can
be a better way and I'll simply put a mental killfile on the idiots and
keep posting my drek."
Geez, this isn't knocking Roy or FA. Recently active investors have
come under some attacks by a couple of diehards that have started
posting over there. The fact that I've decided that I won't read their
stuff doesn't reflect negatively on FA overall. Nor does it reflect
negataively on Roy.
So, again, I sincerely hope you weren't referring to me.

along the lake front in Milwaukee, is the Mil. Art Museum, a rather
imposing building, that has a large set of wings mounted on the roof(do
a google for pictures). about noon time on a sunny, low wind day, they
"flap" the wings.
I would hope that neutron is one of the hundreds(thousands?) that shows
up for these events. (taking time off from managing the "Neutronic
Karma Fund"). also hope that neutron doesn't take recent events
personally and has a sense of humor. he never struck me as being a
cult member kind of guy.
I'm almost thinking that the little newyears rally has gone south.
Japan, well, YIKES! here's a little blurb from the Everbank, daily
newsletter, the DailyPfennig--
"Overnight, the Japanese yen has seen a revival of sorts VS the dollar
as traders and market observers are beginning to think that the Bank of
Japan will indeed move Japan's interest rates off the zero rate policy
soon... They were given that thought by Bank of Japan (BOJ) Gov. Fukui,
who told reporters that the Japanese economy is "firm". I hope this
enthusiasm is carried through after the Cabinet report today on the
economy... Most observers feel that this report too will confirm
Japan's
economic strength will remain throughout 2006... "

Howdy Ted,
Welcome to the monkey house. Roy runs a very genteel supper club over
at FA. In comparison this is sort of like a biker bar. ;-)
It's unmoderated and that's why you'll see spam, off topic, flame wars,
trolls and all the good stuff from the wild west days of the internet.
However, there are some very sharp investors who have been posting here
for years and years and from whom I've learned a lot. Hell, this is
where I first met Gary S.
peace,
