asia and the metals
am 07.02.2006 12:58:25 von ronoGood morning all,
Well, yesterday turned out to be a good day all around - asia, metals,
and most indicies were up. Today doesn't look quite as rosy.
Asia was flatish to down a bit, which is understandable after the great
day they had yesterday. Japan -.16%, HK -.20%, Korea -.70%, China -.43%
and Taiwan - even. India, however, posted a nice gain being up 1.02%
(of note is that Matthews India MINDX is now up 23% since inception).
On the metals front, yesterday was very nice all around, but today is
looking similar to asia - flatish to down. Gold at 568.4 -1.80, Silver
9.70 -.02, Platinum 1062 +1, and Palladium 298 -8. Again, soft, but at
very, very nice levels. And as witness to yesterday's strong market in
the miners, the XAU finished at 151.80 +4.05.
So, nothing real bad, nothing real good. No sun, but no storms - just
sort of an overcast kind of day so far.
Let's turn it around and bring the sun out.
peace,
rono
