asia and the metals - fat tuesday

Good morning all,

Well, metals gave back some of their gains but that was to be
suspected. For example, western silver had gained ~27% friday and gave
back ~6% yesterday. feh. Where this was apparent, however, is with the
XAU which closed at 135.67 -4.84.

BUT, this morning they're all up with gold at 556.80 +2.20, silver at
9.69 +.06, platinum at 1044 +19 and palladium at 283 +5. These are
strong numbers but we'll have to see if they hold throughout the day.

Asia had a mixed day this morning, but again, after yesterday wonderful
day, mixed is OK. Japan closed up .08%, Korea lost -.24%, Taiwan was
closed. HongKong lost -.20% while mainland China gained .14% and India
was the big winner again today +.86%.

All things considered, a good start to what is hopefully, a better day.

peace,

rono

I can't imagine anything more tedious than watching a ticker, hour by
hour and writing a commentary about it. Have you considered watching
TV? If watching tickers is fun, you'll find the daytime programming
awesome.
