I would appreciate recommendations for podcasts related to financial planning,
investments, etc. www.podcast.net has 151 sites in the Investment catagory.
I'm looking for something to listen to on the daily drive to/from work
(usually less than 30 minutes, one way).

Thanx.

Good idea; please report on what you find. Just from a quick glance, I
like the looks of and their top 25 business
podcast list much better than podcast.net .

I have about given up on other US investment mass media, which seems
reduced to sillyness in pandering to commercially targeted audiences.
Remember when Money Magazine or the likes of the Suzy Orman show used
to have a few bits of useable knowledge to reward your time? Now
they're just freak shows for the sociological hall of shame. CNBC
which used to have insightful mkt commentary now relies on melodramatic
yelling fests to pump up ratings. Thank goodness the Economist
magazine still exports their Brit wisdom across the pond, altho with a
little US bashing.

If you can xfer it to a podcast, I think the most investment wisdom on
the airwaves (on wee hour cable TV in US, or by broadband in Eur) is
and
their probing interviews of economists and investment officers. It is
before Euro markets open so not to get bogged down in immediate events,
and it is surprisingly oriented to the worlds largest economy. Much
wisdom about macro economics and asset allocation between stocks and
bonds in the various regions in the world... US, westEuro, eastEuro,
emergingAsia, developedAsia, and the commodity havens of Latin Amer,
Oz, and the Canucks. This info is so easily translated to investment
action via US mutual funds and etf's - probably much harder for their
local audience!
