converting feet into square footage, fractions of an acre????

What is the mathematical formula for converting measurements by feet
into a homes square footage? For example,
if a mobile home is 12 X 40 feet how do you figure out the square
footage?
If a lot is 100 X 110, what percentage of an acre would that be??
Any help is appreciated. AND THANKS.

Multiply 12 by 40, just like you wrote it: 12 ft. X 40 ft. = 480
sq.ft.

There are 640 acres in a sq. mile.
1 sq. mile = 1 mi, squared = 5280 ft X 5280 ft. = 27,878,400 sq. ft.
27,878,400 (sq. ft. in a sq. mile) / 640 (acres in a sq. mile) = 43,560
(sq. ft. in an acre).
100 X 110 = 11,000 sq. ft
11,000 / 43,560 = 0.252525... or just a little more than 1/4 acre.
A perfectly square acre would be about 208.71' on a side.
