Have these airlines completed their bankruptcy proceedings so that
their present stock is a new issue?
The stock of both companies is now around 0.50 USD.
Or is this stock going to go extinct when further court proceedings
regarding bankruptcy are resolved?
advice appreciated.

You seem to have a death wish with bankrupt companies.
The only difference between Ch 11 and 7 is with 11 a company may
continue to exist if it can settle its debts with creditors for a hell
of a lot less than 50cents on the dollar.
ALL THE EXISTING STOCK IS WORTHLESS. JUNK. TRASH. TOILET PAPER.
Now take that to the other 5 toilet paper stock groups where it
belongs and peddle it there.
That is My most excellent advice.

The stock is currently worth less than zero.

the stock was at .50 at the exact time you posted it was less than
zero.
the point of this thread is to see when the stock will be firm after
the bankruptcy.
the zero.

Buffet buys to hold long term.
That is not the play here.
The game here is short term, just to raise capital to put something
significant into an aggressive growth mutual fund and hold it THERE
long term.
Now can we get back to seeing if and when any money can be made from
the new issue or if the current shares will retain value?

Did you write some rules for this news group that nobody else knows
about, we discuss all stocks here long term short term less than a
dollar more than, well as much as BRKA. You sound just like a teacher I
had in the eight grade, knew everything and knew what everybody should
think. Stupidest teacher I ever met.

I am speaking of real, count the ways, worth.
Not what the hypsters and pumpers and traders want to play.
At a Black Jack table or roulette or ... I see a lot of money so is
that what the game is worth? Jump in, get the into action, ... leave
it for the House. Next game please?
There is no, none, nada, direct connection between the price of a
share of stock and the real worth of the company.

I am beginning to think you are 51 cards short of a deck.
the point of this thread is find out when the best time to jump into
northwest or delta would be.
We already know there is little connection between the worth of a
company and the price of a stock. There is some however. A value
investor will see a beaten down stock that has worth and pick it up.
So the underlying value of a company does have some relation to stock
price at some point. This was a fundamental principle of Peter Lynch.
Can we please get back to WHEN AND HOW TO MAKE SOME MONEY IN THESE TWO
AIRLINES?
Do you know the point when the stock will be viable and when the time
to make gains will be?

You mean "misc.invest.stocks"
misc. = consisting or formed of various kinds; varied; mixed
Yep were are on topic, no matter how far we stray.
