How 2 CUT Mil Budget 80%

The $510 billion military budget can be cut 80% and IMPROVE our
defense capabilities. Presently, active duty forces are 750,000
with an additional 400,000 civilian personnel.

Here is a SENSIBLE Defense plan for the next 10 years:

1. Pull ALL troops out of every foreign country, and close EVERY
foreign base. Put ALL Navy vessels within 1000 miles of our coasts.

2. Cut off EVERY DOLLAR for new weapons, planes, carriers, etc
for the next TEN years. Procurement is MAINTENANCE ONLY.
Rewrite EVERY existing contract. They are mostly PORK.

4. Pay the soldiers and civilians $40,000 each; cut the officers
from 15% to 10% with a maximum salary of $100,000. Lay off HALF
the civilians. Total personnel cost : $60 billion per year.

5. Cut military R&D by 80%. No need for weapons if we quit
"Globocop".

6. Redeployment costs out of current budget. Let the Defense
Department
be a DEFENSE Department! Not an "Attack" Department or Globocops.

7. And to those who bitch "the economy would collapse", REDPLOY most
of the men and contracts to DOMESTIC INFRASTRUCTURE rebuilding, ports
and border guarding, and DOMESTIC catastrophe assistance. These monies
COMPOUND, not like the "one-way" bucks for foreign-deployed missiles,
etc.
