Anyone happen to know this? The Inland Revenue needs it in order to
set up the right code to remove my tax liability on my pension, but
Century Life's phones are continually busy.

Is the pension referred to being taxed from Century Life - and is this
because the code in use is Basic Rate - or there is a restriction for
other income ? In theory your records should be set under the reference
accessed by your National Insurance if Century Life informed the tax
office of the pension - or are you in employment ? It could be possible
to collect the pension by restricting the allowances in your code. It
should be able to be traced or the payroll office could tell you. The
reference may be any forms issued by Century Life - P60`S - payslips
etc. Can you give more information.
